Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Bars

AKA: Happy Happy Joy Joys! This recipe is actually one my sister-in-law, Kathy Halm shared with me. This is a fantastic dessert for carrying to parties or bringing in as a special treat for office mates.

What you need:

  • 2 packages chocolate chip cookie rolls (or one batch of homemade cookie dough)
  • 2 8oz package cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Soften 1 cookie dough roll until spreadable

Spread into an ungreased 13×9 pan

Beat together cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla

Spread this on top of cookie roll in pan

Cut other cookie roll into 1/4 inch slices and place on top of filling – fill in as much as possible

Bake for 35 minutes in a 375° oven

Cut when completely cooled
