Don’s Peanut Butter Pie


This was a big hit for everyone! Don made this our low-fat option by substituting Splenda and fat-free ingredients. We felt a little less guilty with the ‘diet’ version, even though we made up for it in other ways.

What you need

  • 1 Oreo pie shell
  • small (1.3oz) Jell-O cook & serve chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 jar Nutella hazelnut spread /or/ 1/2 16oz jar of creamy peanut butter
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 container of Cool-Whip

Cool pie shell in the freezer for a few hours

Heat the Nutella or peanut butter in the microwave for 30 seconds, and spread a 1/2 inch layer in the bottom of the pie shell. Let the peanut butter cool until thick again.

Cook pudding according to the box direction, with additional sugar stirring constantly.

When pudding mix starts to boil, remove from hear and allow to cool for 5 minutes.

Pour cooked pudding mix into pie shell. Allow to cool for several hours in refrigerator before serving.

Serve with Cool-Whip.
